Talveons,
Time really does fly, whether you're having fun or not. In some ways, this year has gone in a flash, and in others, it has felt like the entire year in a single month.
Being a writer it seems as if there are periods where nothing exciting happens and it is just the computer screen and I arguing about what works in a scene and what doesn't. Honestly, that is a writers main focus most of the time.
Then there are the self-publishing/published Authors.
Sadly, once you make the decision to self publish your book it does divide your time between the publishing and writing side of things.
The main thing I have discovered since going along this crazy journey is balance. Balance is the key to everything and for someone, like me who relates to the dog Doug from the movie Up, you can see how it could be a problem.
The best ally in my fight to balance everything is quite simple. A list.
I have mentioned on Facebook a few times about making lists to help achieve your goals. It is the best way for me to keep track of everything and make sure I am on target.
Make a list and be specific. A good example of this would be:
1) Make a list - Post on social media
2) Be specific - list which days of the week, days you are not planning to post & make a list of potential topics you could post about. (Again be specific in your topics, not just publish a book but the steps to do so, etc)
You are enough.
Always keep fighting.
A R Pliley
